Get “Down ‘n Dirty” In MLM
Network Marketing Is NOT What They Tell You
Direct marketing is a numbers game.
Network marketing (MLM) is a relationship game.
Where Network Marketers go wrong is, many are Direct
Marketing "wannabes". They're easy to spot by their
favorite phrase: "MLM is
just a numbers game."
Maybe dazzled by the loot, they shortcut the
relationship part of the
process.
But the relationship IS the process. It IS network
marketing.
Network marketing is NOT just a numbers game. People
are people, not numbers. They have goals, dreams and
desires. They are mothers, fathers, sisters,
brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
grandmothers, and grandfathers to people who love
them.
The “numbers game” garbage teaches people to become
a recruiter, and not a sponsor. Recruit, recruit,
recruit, numbers, numbers, numbers.
The Knife In The Heart
A recruiter never knows their personally sponsored
people's "WHY." Or their dreams, goals, or spouse's
or children's names. It's only about numbers.
Products come & go. Companies come & go. Your spider
web, if you build it right, if you treat it right,
will last forever.
If you treat it like just another income source,
Direct-Marketing-style, you're trading long-term
stability for short-term profit.
I absolutely will not close somebody. This drives
the DM guys nuts.
But in network marketing, that’s the knife in the
heart, to close somebody.
Why?
Because if you had to close them to sign up, then
every month you have to call them back to close them
to get them to do any work.
They’ve got to sell themselves. When they see the
validity, the strength, the power of what you offer
with your coaching, your mentoring, your
opportunity, products, service, system, your back
office, your front office, your 3-way calling, and
so forth, they will sell themselves.
There are a thousand ways to build a network
marketing business.
But there is only ONE way to build your spider web
for lifelong
success. And that is to build relationships. To do
that, you
need to become a mentor with a servant's heart. When
you
do, people ask you to PLEASE sponsor them into your
business.
Look. There's nothing wrong with Direct Marketing.
But it is what it is.
Let's talk about Direct Marketing for a minute, and
why it appeals to so many.
